RegistrarDr. S. Mani , M.A.,B.Ed.,M.Phil., MTM(Tourism)Ph.D an eminent scholar was the Reader of the Department of History ,Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women, Palani. She has assumed charges as Registrar of Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal on 22.11.2007 forenoon.
She started her career as an Assistant Professor in VVV College for Women Virudhu nagar for one year . Later she joined in Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women,Palani as a Lecturer in History and served as a Senior Lecturer in History , Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women,Palani for ten years then was promoted as Reader.
She has more than 23 Years of academic / research experience. She was awarded Ph.D. in 1997 from Madurai Kamaraj University for the thesis titled, “Harijan in Tamilnadu-A study of their Socio-Economic and Political Development (1967-1987) with special reference to Madurai distinct”.
She has published number of articles and research papers in National and International Journals, presented 15papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences. She has organized and facilitated a number of training programme and orientation programmes on India/Abroad.. She has conducted research projects funded by National agencies like UGC,CO- HSSIP.
She has been associated with so many national associations with Tamil nadu History Congress – Life Member , Tamil nadu History Congress from 2001-2005-Excutive Member, South Indian History Congress – Life Member .She had served as a Academic Council Member and Member of Board of Studies of Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women,Palani. She has also served as a In-charge of various activities like Student Guidance/Counseling cell ,SC/ST Cell and NSS Programme Officer of Arulmigu Palaniandavar Arts College for Women, Palani.
